Mobile starter replacement
Dash lights on, key turned or button pressed, and nothing but a click. That points to the starter, and we confirm it before anyone buys the part.

Bright lights, no crank
When the battery is weak, the dash dims as you try to start. When the starter is the problem, the lights stay bright and the engine doesn't turn.
That one detail narrows it down quickly, so it's the first thing we'll ask you.
Tested before it's replaced
We check the battery, the connections and the starting circuit before condemning the starter. A bad ground or a weak battery can fail in exactly the same way, and both are cheaper fixes.
Why it's a starting price
On many cars the starter is a straightforward job. On others it's buried. On BMW's N51 and N52 six-cylinder engines, for example, it sits under the intake manifold, which has to come off first.
That's why starters are priced from $145 and confirmed for your car before we start.
When it only fails hot
A starter on its way out will often work fine in the morning and refuse after the car has been driven and parked in the heat. If that's your pattern, tell us. It's one of the most useful clues there is.
On German cars
- Push-button start and nothing happens? Check the dash for a key message first. A flat key fob battery or a weak car battery can stop the car starting without the starter being at fault.
- Access varies more than most: some German starters are easy, others mean removing the intake. The price is confirmed before we start.
- If low voltage left faults behind, they're cleared after the repair.

Questions
Starters, answered
It only clicks. Is it the starter?
Often, especially if the dash lights stay bright. A weak battery or a poor connection can do the same, which is why we test first.
Why does a starter cost more on some BMWs?
Access. On some engines, like BMW's N51 and N52 six-cylinders, the intake manifold has to come off to reach it. We confirm the price for your car first.
It only won't start when it's hot. Is that the starter?
Very often. Heat pushes a worn starter over the edge. We test to confirm before replacing anything.
